If you have material you are hoping to recycle, the first step is to make sure it is clean of all food residue and dry. This makes sorting and recovering materials more efficient. Use the flowchart (Printable: Waste Guide) to identify how to dispose of an item. The dropdown menus below contain more details on how to sort your waste within the City of Falcon Heights.
Bulky Item Recycling
The Fall Cleanup Event at the MN State Fairgrounds will not be taking place in 2025. In light of that, the City of Falcon Heights has these suggestions for bulky item recycling. The new Ramsey County Environmental Center in Roseville (just three miles away down Larpenteur Avenue) accepts household hazardous waste, electronics, household recycling, scrap metal, food scraps, and plastic films free of charge. The City's recycling contractor, Tennis, also accepts some bulky items. Otherwise, the Ramsey County A-Z Green Guide offers suggestions and best practices for donating, recycling, and disposing of bulky items. Printable 2-page guide HERE.
